This player lets you listen to your teacher's recording of each piece at any speed, starting from any measure. Use it to build a clear sound in your head before you play.
🎵Choose a piece — tap the buttons at the top to switch between the Latin Piece and the Swing Piece. Each piece loads at its own tempo.
📍Pick a measure — tap any numbered button to choose where playback starts. On the Latin Piece, "Pickup" starts one beat before measure 1 — you'll hear the click on beats 1 and 2, then the pickup note.
▶Play / Pause / Resume — the middle transport button. Tap once to play, again to pause, again to resume right where you left off.
↺Return — the left transport button. Stops playback and resets to your selected measure.
🔁Loop — the right transport button. When lit, the passage repeats seamlessly and continuously so you can listen as many times as you like without touching anything.
🥁Click — turns the metronome on or off. You can flip it while the music is playing. Use the slider next to it to adjust how loud the click is.
⏱Count-in — gives you 1 or 2 bars of metronome click before the music starts, so you're in tempo before the first note. The count-in plays once; it doesn't repeat on loop.
🐢Tempo — drag the slider or tap a preset to change the speed. The percentage shows how fast you're going relative to the original tempo. Try 60% or 70% on a tricky passage, then work back up to 100%.
🎹Piano level — controls how loud the piano is. Bring it down if the click is hard to hear, or all the way down to practice with click only.
🎷Transposition — Instrument — tells the player what instrument you're reading for. This player is already set to Tenor Sax, which shifts the audio down a major 9th (14 semitones) so what you hear matches your written part. Switch to any instrument in the list and the player adjusts automatically.
♭Transposition — Semitones — lets you shift the pitch up or down by any number of semitones. Use the − and + buttons to nudge one semitone at a time, or drag the slider for a bigger jump. Hit Reset to return to zero. This is handy for exploring how the melody sounds in different keys.
